He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Holst and Amelia Holst (Stumpf); his wife Marjorie; and his siblings, Luverne Holst (Verona) and Marcella Ahrens (Walter).
He is survived by: his children, Joan Larkin of Red Wing, Sharon Larson (Rollin) of Vasa, Sue Gorman (Bill) of Goodhue, Janelle McNamara (Bob) of Goodhue, Bruce Holst (Pam) of Goodhue and Craig Holst (Kristine) of Red Wing. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
