He was predeceased by : his wife Hope Hansen; his daughter-in-law Karen Gegner; his grandsons, Michael and Jared Gegner; his parents, Walter Gegner and Agnes Gegner; his siblings, Walter Jr. Gegner, Frederick Gegner and Carol Lee Konsterlie; and his brother-in-law Lowell Kongterlie Blessed.

He is survived by : his children, Lance Gegner, Christine Schwandt (William) and Dan Gegner (Angie); his grandchildren, Matthew Gegner (Samantha), Amber Adams (Tim), Lavender Boyles (Dana), Tyson Schwandt (Marilyn), Feather Tankersley (Dan), Jodie Roeder (Dave), Sarah Kazmierczak (Joe), Jamie Gegner (Shannon), Latricia Dudash (Franklin), Cebada Boyles, Lexa Boyles, Kira Boyles, Jason Tankersley, Roland Gegner, Wayland Gegner, Amelia, Charlotte, Joseph, Ethan and Claire Kazmierczak; his great great grandchildren, Octavia and Onyx Dudash; his brother Calvin Gegner (Martha); and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Gegner and Gloria Elsing (Dale). He is also survived by wife, children, grandkids.
