As Ellie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ellie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ellie leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her uncle David; and her cousins, Christopher and Travis. She is survived by: her parents, Robert Scherping and Beth Scherping (Peterson); her grandparents, Lambert and Gloria Peterson; and her Chocolate lab Barnz. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (130 1st St SW, Rice, MN 56367). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
