He was predeceased by: his wife Mary "Joan" Ascher; his daughter Aimee; his parents, Herman Ascher and Florence Ascher; and his brother James Ascher.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen "Katy" Eiden (Doug), Mary Carollo (Scott), Thomas Ascher (Maria), Anne Monahan (K. C.) and Beth Ascher (Chris McGill); and his siblings, Margaret Roback and Terrance "Terry" Ascher. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
