He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Diane Olson, Richard Olson (Kathy), Claudia Berglund (John), Dale Olson (Linda), Brad Olson (Donna) and Beth Pearson; his sister Louise Knutson; and his friend Edith Salisbury. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
