He was predeceased by : his parents, Nick Schmitt and Anna Schmitt (Donnay); his daughter Theresa; and his brother Tom. He is survived by : his wife Mary Lou of Royalton; and his children, Joan Gasser (Bruce) of Sartell, Marie Popp of Sartell, Mark (Natalie) of Rice and Judy Borgerding (Randy) of Eden Prairie. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and sister.
