She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Johnson and Pauline Johnson (Paulseth); her husband Ralph Rehder August; her daughter-in-law Cheryl; and her siblings, Jennings, Ernie, Earl, Wilbur "Billy", Esther Mercer and Pearl Nelson.
She is survived by: her sons, Ross of Barnesville, MN, Curtis (Judy) and Douglas (Nina); her grandchildren, Jay (Jennifer), Aaron, Paul (Kathy), Kristoffer (Katie), Benjamin, Carmen (Jack) and Kristen; and her great grandchildren, Gage, Hannah, Jason, Nate, Chloe, Sebastian, Claire, Frederick, Annamarie Lilah and Hayden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made out to the Hemnes Cemetery in North Dakota.
