Marian Joyce Smith Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2020, at the age of 99, Marian Joyce Smith (Saint James, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Zender and Magdalena Zender (Rathman); her husband Ben; and her son Richard. She is survived by : her former life partner James Benjamin Smith; her children, Karen Haler (Albert) of St. James, Barbara Boerner of Duluth, Kevin Smith (Jan) of Alexandria, Kathy Peters of Faribault, Marcia Moerke of Maple Grove, Teresa Liesenfeld (Robert) of Slayton and Alan Smith (Crystal) of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter-in-law Vickie Smith of Butterfield; her sister Celestine "Sally" Jonson; and her sister-in-law Kathleen Zender. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial are preferred to St. James Catholic Church flower fund for the adornment of both the inside and outside of the church in Marian's memory.
