He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Victor; his wife Kathy; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Reichert. He is survived by: his significant other Muriel Haglind; his children, Tracey Reichert, Steven Gels and David Gels; his children-in-law, Mark Reichert, Joy Miciano and Jennifer Gels; his grandchildren, Grace, Lucy, Tommy Reichert, Maya, Oliver Gels, Abby and Lily Gels; and his sibling Jerry Gels (Betty).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Minneapolis Golf Club (2001 Flag Ave S, St Louis Park, MN 55426). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Crescent Cove in Minneapolis, an organization which Jim greatly admired.
