He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Sam and Leone (West Duluth). He is survived by : his wife Brenda; his sons, Gregg and Scott (Paula); his brother Jeff (Marilyn); his grandchildren, Mia, Shane, Jackie and Chase; his nieces, Kim Bradley and Jodi Jacobs; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Berkman of Berkeley, CA and Susan Kane of Tucson, AZ; and his daughter-in-law Kari Berman.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Beth El Synagogue (5225 Barry St W, Minneapolis, MN 55416). A reception was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
