He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Dehmer and Mary Dehmer (Kirscht); his son Gary Dehmer; his sisters, Arlene Lindenfelser, Irma Perrault, Alice Steffens, Delores Steffens and Florence Kasper; and his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Lindenfelser, Jerome Perrault, Norman Steffens, Lloyd Steffens, Bernie Kasper and James Robeck.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene M. Dehmer; his children, Julie Sirr (Steve), Lynn Berning (Peter), Mark, Joel Dehmer (Nita), Scott Dehmer, Sandra Dehmer and Keith; and his sisters, Margie Robeck and Alberta Fitzsimmons (Pat). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
