She was predeceased by : her husband John; her parents, Joe Birk and Marie Birk; and her siblings, Melvin Birk, Pat Geronime (Bob) and Billy Birk.

She is survived by : her children, James (Nancy), Ken (Mary), Bob (Linda), Mike, Greg, Pat Schaffer (Paul), Jeanne Kangas (Phil) and Margaret Jorgensen (Richard); her aunt Delores Horsch; and her sister-in-law Martha Birk. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren.
