John Jorissen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Jorissen (Saint Paul, Minnesota), who passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Grace (Mattila); his parents, Josephine Jorissen (Sullivan) and Norbert Jorissen; his siblings, Lawrence, Eileen Nelson and Kathleen Shelton (Tom); and his parents-in-law, Ann C. Mattila (Dalglish) and John H. Mattila (June).
He is survived by: his children, John Jr. (MaryAnn), Julie, Jen and Jim (Christine); his grandchildren, Jeremy Damsgard, Anthony, John Paul (Sarah), James (Andrea), Alesandra Seepersaud (Andy) and Stefano (Tessa); his siblings, James Jorissen and Mary Cavanagh (Pat); and his brother-in-law Tom Shelton. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM.
The family suggests memorials be made in John's honor to one of the following, or to the organization of your choosing: · Cretin-Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, · Ecumen - Lakeview Commons in Maplewood, Minnesota, · Wounded Warriors Foundation, · American Kidney Foundation.
