He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bretz and Magdelena Bretz (Auel); and his siblings, William, Jr., Allie, Vincent, Albert, Antonia McCabe and Catherine Bretz.
He is survived by: his wife Glenyce of Sauk Rapids; his children, Debi Myhra of Omaha, NE, Jackie Thielen (Tony) of Omaha, NE, Mickie Bisek (John) of St. Paul, Renee Malmskog (David) of Moorhead, Pam Thielen (Dean) of Elkhorn, NE and Kelly Bretz (Dan Rydel) of Maplewood; and his sister Margaret Smith. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
