He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schneider and Bernadina Schneider (Kerkering); his wife Frances; his son Dale Schneider; and his siblings, Marie Marthaler, Clara Frieler, Elmer Schneider, Werner Schneider, Leo Schneider and Leona Schneider.
He is survived by: his children, Don Schneider (Cindy) of Meire Grove, Deb Theisen (Paul) of Grey Eagle and Diane Smith of Sauk Centre; his grandchildren, Kari Allhiser (Jesse), Craig Schneider (Megan), Cory Schneider (Hana), Ashley Smith (Ken Coyer), Leah Gilbert (James) and Cassidy Smith; his great grandchildren, Laken, Mason, MaKenzie and Carter; his sisters, Arlene Gully, Lorraine Inderrieden and Ludwina Ostendorf; and his sister-in-law Anna Mae Schneider.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
