He is survived by: his wife Glaria of Sauk Rapids; his children, Bill Thielen (Betty) of Rochester, Kim Bachtle (Tim) of Owatonna, Mary Gardner (Chris) of Monticello, Patrick Thielen of Princeton, Bonnie Arendt (Joe) of Rochester and Simon, Jr. Thielen (Brenda) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Tim, Josiah, Ben Bachtle, Jennifer Rysavy, Matthew Thielen, Kyle Gardner, Samantha Gardner, Brennan, Cate and Anna Arendt; his great grandchildren, Brady, Bryer, Grayson, Bennett and Caleb; and his sister-in-law Marlene Thielen of St. Cloud. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
