He is survived by: his wife Renate of Sauk Rapids; his children, Michael (Bev Mendel) of Sauk Rapids and Beverly Scharber (Richard) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Austin Chaika and Linda Erickson; his siblings, Gary (Audrey) of Sauk Rapids, James (Alyce) of Hooper, NE and Joan Edwards of Woodland, CA; and his half-brother Chuck Smith (Lowen) of St. Cloud.
