It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avice Arlene Bjerke (Shakopee, Minnesota), born in Litchville, North Dakota, who passed away on September 8, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Justin and Myrtle; her siblings, Erma Peterson (Bud), Inez Clegg (Brom), Lolly Opdahl (Don) and Dwight Smedshammer; and her siblings-in-law, Larry Gackle of Hal Bjerke and Lorraine Stoks.
She is survived by: her spouse Leonard Bjerke; her children, Patricia Smith (Jim) and John Bjerke; her grandson Justin Smith; her siblings, Ray Smedshammer (Karen), Marie Rourke (Jack), Betty Gackle, Tootie Fueller (Larry), Jerry Smedshammer (Linda), Norris Smedshammer (Connie) and Ivan Smedshammer (Phyllis); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Smedshammer and Maynard Bjerke (Diane).
