With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John J. Hobday (Shakopee, Minnesota), born in Saint Peter, Minnesota, who passed away on December 30, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hobday and Irene Hobday (Wieland); his siblings, Jean Miller and Harold; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Randolph and Don Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Barb; his children, John, Amy Ericksen (Peter), Paul (Betsey) and Kate Goodrich (Curt); his stepchildren, Jeff Ness and Pam Miller; his sister Marilyn Randolph; his sister-in-law Pat Hobday; his grandchildren, Doug Ness (Tisha), Megan Holte (Tony), Lindsay Darrah (Jim), Andrea Fazendin (Ben), Andrew Reindel, Andy Hobday, Amy Hobday, Haley Hobday, Hannah Hobday, Mae Goodrich, Nick Ericksen, Jack Goodrich, Kate Ericksen, Ella Hobday and Jake Hobday; and his great grandchildren, Makenzie, Jackson, Lucas, Ryan, Victoria, Marley, Berkley, Charlotte, Eloise and Theo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Dr. J.J. Hobday Scholarship Fund, c/o Logan University College; at this time, memorials may be sent to the funeral home, and they will be forwarded to the family.
