He was predeceased by: his parents, Birney Hoffmeyer and Viola Hoffmeyer (Swenson); his wife Lorelei Hoffmeyer; his daughter Kimberly Hoffmeyer; his brother Larry Hoffmeyer; his parents-in-law, Laurel and Cassius Smith; and his brothers-in-law, John Larson, Maynard and Don Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Robin Scheff (Doug), Brenda McEwing (Timothy I.), Kristopher Hoffmeyer, Donald Hoffmeyer (Suzanne) and Jonathon Hoffmeyer; his grandchildren, Jeremy Scheff (Rose), Derek Scheff (Loni), Candace Teems (John), Megan Raley and McKaylon Sellers; his sister Erma Larson of Sherburn, Minnesota; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Hoffmeyer of Sherburn and Lesa Smith of Paso Robles, California. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
