He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Reiter and Irene Reiter; and his brother-in-law Wayne Gullickson. He is survived by: his former wife Lorraine Gladis; his wife Lorraine Reiter of Lake Shetek; his daughter Dawn Lee of Lake Shetek; his grandchildren, Aaron, Gabbrielle and Ritter of Minneapolis; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Hess and Mickey Hess. He is also survived by his pet miniature dachshund, Molly; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
