He is survived by: his parents, Guy Byers and Florence Swan Byers; his wife Dorothy Byers of Slayton, MN; his children, Steve Byers of Willmar, MN, Sheryl (Kevin Myers), Sheila (Jon Knudson) and Shelly (Dennis Gieselman); his former wife Sylvia; his grandson Derek Byers; and his niece Lisa Belloni. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two sibling and their spouses, Carole and Marion Schmitz of Eugene, OR, and Larry and Gail Byers of Slayton, MN and several nieces and nephews and their families He is preceded in death by his parents.
