It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Halbur (Slayton, Minnesota), born in Iona, Minnesota, who passed away on May 22, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Halbur and Thecla Nytes Halbur; his brothers, Francis Halbur and Michael Halbur; and his brothers-in-law, Don Johanning and Robert Hentges.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Halbur of Slayton, MN; his son Jim (Kari) of Mankato, MN; his grandchildren, Simon and Sydney; his siblings, Roger Halbur (Joanne) of Slayton, MN, Kathy Johanning of Grass City, IN, Mary Hentges (David) of Black Duck, MN, Leon Halbur (Carolyn) of Maple Grove, MN, Jean Hentges of Iona, MN and Marlys Pomeranke (Dan) of Willmar, MN; and his sister-in-law Lisa Halbur of Detroit Lakes, MN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
St. Ann's Church is requiring mask to be worn throughout the entire Mass due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
