He is survived by : his wife Donna; his daughter Jeanne Helget; his grandchildren, Nicole, Nancy, Natalie and Neah; his daughter Janice Veigel (Herb); his grandchildren, Justin and Lindsay; his child Vernard Haala Jr. (Cindy); his grandsons, Brent, Derrick and Clint; his child Joleen Welsch (Jim); his grandchildren, Chad and Jennifer; his children, Jay Haala, Jeffrey Haala and Jill Sellner (Eugene); his grandchildren, Megan and Jaden; and his sisters, Delores Spaeth and Gladys Reinarts.

Due to unexpected COVID concerns the funeral will be private for family only.
