He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Hancock and Lillian Hancock (Diedrickson); and his brothers, Nathan, Eldon and Richard.

He is survived by : his wife Lorraine of Spring Valley; and his sister-in-law Dolores Wood of Pell City. He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews.
