He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Hoium and Edna Hoium (Arneson); and his siblings, Wally, Ernie Hoium and Evelyn Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Corrine Olive Hoverud of Starbuck; his children, Karen Holte (Milo) of Starbuck and Gary Hoium (Joanna) of Coon Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Ashley Odland (Anthony) of Plymouth, Jared Holte of Minneapolis, Ben Hoium of Coon Rapids, Joseph 'Joe Hoium of Coon Rapids and Andrew Hoium of Coon Rapids; and his great grandchildren, Henry Odland, Barron Odland and Thea Odland. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
