It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlys Hagert (Starbuck, Minnesota), who passed away on November 7, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Flaten and Alma Flaten (Lagred); her husband Tom Hagert; and her siblings, Gladys Ronnie, Arvid and Luverne Flaten.
She is survived by: her children, Gordy Hagert (Patrice) of Glenwood, Marcia Hagert of Fargo, ND, Ted Hagert (Margaret) of Starbuck, Helen Layman (Jim) of Medford, MA and Bob Hagert (Julie) of Idaho Falls, ID; her grandchildren, Travis, Brittany Smith (Bryan), Casey Hagert (Hope), Hank Cautin, Stephen Held, Daniel Held, Hannah Austin (Sean), Jay Hagert, Jonathan Layman and Andrew Layman; her great grandchildren, Eli, Graham, Isla, Tucker, Jackson, Benjamin, Kristina, Jade, Jason, Mary Elizabeth, Ethan, Miles and Quinn; and her sisters-in-law, Marlys Flaten of Glenwood, Joan Oyaas of Minnetonka and Betty Wilhelmson (Ron) of Richfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Glenwood Retirement Village.
