He was predeceased by: his wife Beppie. He is survived by: his children, Jan (Bonnie) and Evelyn; his grandchildren, Eric (Tracy Reidt), Kent (Mariah) and Anne Furst (Jonathan); and his great grandchildren, Jansen, Grace, Everly, Charlotte and Brandt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to veterans organizations VFW or DAV.
