It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Koop of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Koop and Gertrude Koop (Behrns); his siblings, Wilbur Koop (Lillian), Don Koop, Doris Mortrud (Vern), Mable Jackson (Calvin) and Marion Lomenick (Stan); his brother-in-law Joe Swords; and his son-in-law Ross Walseth.
He is survived by : his wife Shirley Santl; his children, Karen Rolland (Lee), Marilyn Hoglo (Gary) and Thomas Koop (Sherry); his grandchildren, Derek Walseth (Annette), Cody Walseth, Jacki Roeder (Joey), Garrett Hoglo (Amanda), Jamie Hoglo (Jason Jenson), Jenna Wiseth (Justin), Josh Koop (Emily Johannes) and Kaylee Bates (Nathan); his stepgrandchildren, Kaeley Rolland and Skyler Rolland (Maja); his great grandchildren, Emilee, Kobe, Korbin, Cade, Charlie, Natalie, Summer, Parker, Ayden, Michael, Charlize, Vincent, Demary and Rylee; his sisters, Esther Swords of Fort Walton Beach, FL and Verna Mostrom (Wally) of Coon Rapids, MN; and his sister-in-law Barbara Koop of Eagle Harbor, MI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
