He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Hauer and Ann Hauer (Streiff); and his siblings, Jim Hauer and Evie Fahlstrom. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Margie Brown-Hauer (Bill), Bob Hauer (Tammy), John Hauer (Selena) and Jake Hauer (Nicole Schaefer); and his siblings, Ambrose Hauer (Jackie), Bernie Hoium (Stan), Joan Dille (Kenny), Jerry Hauer (Diane), Andy Hauer (Karen) and Ann Marie Wilson (Eric). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Karvonen Funeral Home ~ Wadena (419 2nd St NE, Wadena, MN 56482). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
