We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2021, at the age of 65, Merle L. Oelke (Waconia, Minnesota), born in Wausau, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Oelke and Mae Oelke; his sister Laurie Hardinger; his father-in-law Richard Bernthal; and his brother-in-law T. Kenneth Lewis.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Oelke of Chanhassen; his children, Jaime Simmons (Rodney) of St. Augustine, FL, Nick Oelke (Cara) of St. Paul, Katy Sudlow (Justin) of Carver and Allie Dawson (Liam) of St. James; his grandchildren, Josiah Oelke, Micah Oelke, Isaac Oelke, Mya Simmons, Jase Sudlow, Quinn Dawson, Mary Oelke, Mariah Simmons, Isabelle Sudlow, Priscilla Oelke and Ryleigh Dawson; his siblings, Nyla Lewis, Nadine Oelke and Verlyn Oelke (Kathy); and his mother-in-law Alice Bernthal. He is also survived by other relatives and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Park Nicollet Hospice.
