He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Benson and Edna Benson (Marquardt). He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Plath; his children, Jeff Benson (Ruth Bohm), Cindy Parkhurst (Jim) and Brad Benson (Nancy Vankeulen); his grandchildren, Nick, Erin, Evan, Brandon, Natalie and Blake; and his siblings, Betty Jeseritz, Audrey Wells, Vonnie Walsh, Lyle, Elvin, Stanley, Harvey and Thomas.
