He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Oscar and Alice Montan; his parent-in-law Carl Dahlquist; his son Steven Carl Montan; his brother-in-law Raymond Dahlquist (June); and also Agnes Dahlquist.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, Nancy King (Jim) and Tim Montan; and his sisters-in-law, Tom Harris, Nancy Harris, Darrell Borgen, Judy Borgen, Harry Peyerl and Mary Peyerl.
