She was predeceased by : her parents, Gordon Sommerland and Mabel Sommerland; her siblings, Karen Bush, Sandra and Gary; and her parents-in-law, Moe and Esther Sabes.

She is survived by : her boyfriend Bob Sabes of Porky's Drive-In; her sons, Jon (Kristine), Steven (Maggie O'Gara) and Ross (Dawn); her grandchildren, Jackson, Brooke, Lauren, Hanah, Morgan, Joe, Natalie and Kelsey Sherer; and her sister-in-law Raliegh Boukather.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Adath Jeshurun Congregation (10500 Hillside Ln W, Minnetonka, MN 55305). A shiva was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
