He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Burzlaff and Margaret Burzlaff (Cartwright); his sister Evelyn Peterson; and his son-in-law Charles Burzlaff-Meyer. He is survived by: his wife Carol Burzlaff of West Concord; and his daughters, Lori Wiegrefe (Doug) of Rice Lake, Ann Traxler (Jeff) of Kenyon, Karla Burzlaff-Meyer (Stuart) and Crystal Winter (Bill) of West Concord. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to Masonic Lodge of Rochester, West Concord Historical Society, and to the West Concord Fire Department.
