We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2020, at the age of 95, Esther Ahlsten of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Tohm and Emma Tohm; her husband Harold Ahlsten; her half-brother Gustav Marquardt; her brothers, Ferd Tohm, Ed Tohm, Martin Tohm, Melvin Tohm and Ralph Tohm; her stepsister Bertha Winefeldt; and her sisters, Luella Kantrud and Eva Farmer.

She is survived by : her children, Mark (Christine) of Bloomington, MN and Melodi Novotny (Curtis) of Lidgerwood, ND; her grandchildren, Renee Kallevig (Dan) of Wadena, MN, Karen Benitez (Joachim) of Lakeland, FL, David Novotny of Lidgerwood, ND and Daniel Novotny of Fargo, ND; and her great grandchildren, Katelyn, Josiah, Mia Kallevig, Damian, Davin, Nico and Matias Benitez. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton.
