She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Michels and Mary Michels (Buttweiler); her husband Byron E. Elkjer; her grandson Nathan Elkjer; and her brothers, Dr. James Michels and Dr. Roger Michels.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Elkjer (Carmen) of Waco, TX, Mary Margaret Elkjer of Willmar, Jerry Elkjer (Mollie) of Spicer, Jane Radzak (Lee) of Willmar, Dan Elkjer (Bobbi) of Willmar and John Elkjer (Julie) of Hawaii. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, besides many other relatives.
