He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Aas and Margaret Aas (Amundson); his brothers, Horace "Sonny" Hanson and Allen Hanson; and his brother-in-law Allen Knollenberg.
He is survived by: his former wife Edith Berg; his wife Edie Aas of Jasper, Minnesota; his children, Lisa (Doug Petersen) of Jasper and Jared Aas of Owatonna, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Kerri Petersen (Chris Wick) of Adrian and Bryce Petersen (Jessica) of Jasper, Minnesota; his great grandchildren, James Wussow and Sawyer Wick; and his sister Audrey Knollenberg of Alexandria, Minnesota. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
