He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Nerhus and Opal Nerhus (Petersen); his wife Rosie; his brother David Nerhus; his nephew Brant Nerhus; and his brother Richard.
He is survived by: his former wife Rosella May Veen; his daughters, Tina Peiffer (Jesse Snider) of Windom, MN and Stacy Clark (Casey) of Estherville, IA; his grandchildren, Stephanie Farber, Alex Peiffer (Andera), Austin, Cody and Parker Westerman; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Deegan Farber, Eli Peiffer, Henley and Layton Andera; and his sister Janet Jensen (Lee) of Apple Valley, MN. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
