He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Russell (Rowley) and Ottis Russell; and his siblings, Donald Russell, Kenneth Russell, Franklin Russell, Dorothy Plice, Charlotte Green, Lois Sargent, Mary Jane Russell and Wilma Johnson.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Russell (Penny Precour), Scott Russell (Kristi) and Kent Russell (Tina); his grandchildren, Brian Russell, II, Alexander Russell (Kacey), Michael Russell (Samy), Jennifer Russell, Benjamin Russell, Andrew Russell, Rachel Russell and Abigail Russell; and his great grandchild Wilson Russell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Woodlawn Cemetery Association and/or Wesley United Methodist Church.
