He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schaap and Minnie Schaap (VanDyke); his stepmother Joyce Schaap; his daughters, Gloria Jean Strandberg and Glenda Jane Tims; his grandchildren, Stacey Jane Morgan and Benjamin Kurt Schaap; and his siblings, John F. Schaap, Frieda Buss, Hermina Voit Tripp, Gertrude Eckerson, Martha Stene and Clara Berger.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Schaap; his children, Ardella June Windorski, Jeffrey Arthur Schaap (Ginger) of Belgium, WI, Loretta Joy Overby (David) of Cottage Grove, MN and Fourteen; and his sisters, Mavis Waltjers (Harley) of Sioux Falls, SD and Marie Derby (Paul) of Spearfish, SD.. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren.
