He is survived by: his wife Edna Dorothy Ables; his children, Larry Ahrens of Sheldon, IA and Julie Meier (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Paula Ahrens; his grandchildren, Nicholas Ahrens (Erin), Joseph Ahrens (Jordan) of Richfield, MN, April Weber (John) of Ocheyedan, IA, Lindsay Fricke (Shane) of Brandon, SD, Alyssa Climer (Ryan) of Spencer, IA and Courtney Kremer (Steven) of Brandon, SD; his great grandchildren, Sofia, Natalie, Paige, Jackson Weber, Kate, Wyatt Fricke, Jagr Climer, Michael Ahrens and Grady Kremer; and his sister Shirley Jensen.
