He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Cargin and Pearl Cargin (Hansen); his brother Paul; his parents-in-law, Joan, Barbara and Charles Shell; and his nephew Kenneth Cargin.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Ver Burg; his daughters, Loma Monahan (Dan) and Rachel Haaland (Perry); his grandsons, Soren and Stian Haaland; his siblings, Terry Cargin, Richard Cargin, Connie Shell, Patty Lunders (Dale), Sherry Wagner (Ed), Diane Driggs (Doug), Dennis Cargin (Mona), James Cargin (Debbie), Tim Cargin (Diane), Sally Wilkie (Scott), Carla Jarratt (James) and Charles Cargin (Linda); and his sister-in-law Cathryn Cargin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
