It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mae Newkirk (Worthington, Minnesota), who passed away on February 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Poldervaard and Eva Poldervaard (Koster); and her sister Joyce (Dean). She is survived by: her children, Randy Newkirk (Rita) of Everly, IA, Richele Staples (Rick) of Worthington, MN, Brad Newkirk of Ringsted, IA, Brian Newkirk of Meridian, ID and Brenda Stanton (Keith) of Worthington, MN; her grandchildren, Melissa, Rachel, Garrick, Sonya, Amanda, Ashleigh, David, Jermaine, Ty of Keatrick, J. J., Olivia, Lauren and Hope; and her siblings, Arlene, Marcella, Joanie and Loren. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
