He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dirks; his children, Ardel Martin (Dennis) of Yukon, OK, Kevin Rueter (Paula) of Orange City, IA, Mary Laverman (Marlin) of Ocheyedan, IA, Brenda Brooks (Robert) of Richmond Hill, GA and Keith Rueter (Sherry) of Memphis, TN; his grandchildren, Daniel Walker (Bobbie), Shayla Hasbell (Keith), Michael Danner, Matthew Rueter (Ashlee), Nathan Rueter, Dylan Rueter, Michael Laverman (Jessica), Melissa Lapic, Monica Laverman, Benjamin Brooks, Amanda Brooks, Tyler Rueter and Stephanie Rueter; and his great grandchildren, Bayli, Ella, Leah, James, Alison, Morgan, Kaylee, Allee and Gavyn.
