She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Teodomira Chavez-Gonzalez and Anacleto Chavez Martinez; her children, Priscila Chavez, Manuel Garcia-Chavez and Oscar Turcios-Chavez; and her grandchildren, Jason Dominick King, Jaydon Enrique King, Isabel Destiny King, Emmett Isaac Garcia and Nathan Elliott Garcia.

Her contribution to Saint Mary's Catholic Church and its Hispanic community in Worthington spans over 20+ years.
