He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Obermann (Elizabeth); his parents, Orrie and Lilian; and his siblings, Byron, Sandy, Mabel and Jerry.

He is survived by: his son Bruce Obermann (Carol); his grandsons, Richard and Brian Obermann; and his great grandchildren, Aron and Adam. He is also survived by three children.
