We bid farewell to Rosemary June Merkel (Worthington, Minnesota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Rosemary June touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Herman and Evelyn Herman; her sister Caroline Hendrickson; and her brother-in-law Carl Hendrickson. She is survived by: her husband Leroy Merkel; her children, Timothy Merkel (Jamey) of Cook, MN, Rebecca Walding (Patrick) of Sioux City, IA and Nancy Vandeputte (Joel) of Marshall, MN.; and her brothers, James Herman (Judy) and Richard Herman (Clarice). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (1200 4th Ave, Worthington, MN 56187). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Lutheran Church in Worthington.
