He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve Rubis and Shirley Rubis; his siblings, Paul Rubis and Rene Siria; and his stepson Thomas Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Jolene; his children, Erica Rubis (Mitja Hmeljak), Meredith Beightel (Chris), Emily Rubis Yamagata (Jonah), Ingrid Rubis, Stephen Rubis (Bethany) and Dan Gibson (Helen); his siblings, Tim Rubis (Linda), Craig Rubis (Karin), Keith Rubis (Pamela) and Marie Rubis Bauer (Michael); and his brother-in-law Bruce Siria (Rene). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
