She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice "Allie" Emma (Brotherton) and Alvie Grife; her husband Paul Edward Tuomala; her sons, Larry O'Neil Boman and Kris Michael Tuomala; and her brothers, Vernie Grife, Johnny Grife and Jim Grife.

She is survived by: her children, Gerald R. Boman, Edward K. Tuomala (Cathy), Eric L. Tuomala (Bonnie), Elizabeth F. Douglas (Mark) and Jennifer L. Mikeska (Chris); her daughter-in-law Susie Tuomala; her siblings, Melva DeLaMatter, Jeanie Nolan (Butch) and Floyd Grife; and her grandsons, Paul Tuomala, Eli Tuomala, Alex Mikeska, Mason MacKall, Nathaniel Wimpey, Trenten Wimpey, Jordon Boman, Kenneth Mitchell, Dallas Tuomala and Rusty Ludiker. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
